Everyday cars nobody wants to fix

Older, lighter cars pay on scrap weight plus the converter. Anything from the last decade with a straight body is usually worth more than scrap, so tell us the trim and mileage.

SUVs and minivans
Heavier body, more steel, more money. Caravans, Odysseys, Explorers and old Suburbans all quote above a comparable sedan simply because of what they weigh.

How the number is built
What actually moves your payout
Nobody should quote you a price without asking these six things. If a buyer gives you a number before hearing them, the number will change when the truck shows up.
Size and body type
A crew-cab pickup carries roughly double the steel of a compact car. Heavier vehicle, higher floor on the offer.
Age and demand
Anything from about 2010 on still has parts worth reselling, so it beats pure scrap value. Pre-1995 is usually weight alone.
Catalytic converter
Still bolted on is a real jump in value. If it was cut off in a theft, say so up front and the quote stays honest.
Does it run?
A car that starts and moves under its own power is worth more than the same car with a seized engine. Both still get bought.
What’s missing
Wheels, doors, engine, transmission, battery. Missing pieces lower the number, but almost never to zero.

Driveway, street, lane, parkade or a field. Access doesn’t cost you anything — it just tells us which truck to send.

How much cash can I get for a scrap car in Surrey?
Most scrap cars in Surrey pay between $150 and $1,500. Complete vehicles with the catalytic converter still on, heavier trucks and vans, and newer vehicles that still run sit at the top of that range. Use the estimator on this page for a ballpark, then call to lock in a firm number.
Is towing really free?
Yes. Towing is included anywhere in Surrey and the surrounding Lower Mainland. The price we quote on the phone is the cash you are handed at pickup, with nothing deducted for the truck.
Do you buy cars that do not run or have been in an accident?
That is most of what we take. Dead batteries, seized engines, failed transmissions, ICBC write-offs, flood and fire damage, no wheels, no keys. If it has a body and a frame, we can quote it.
What paperwork do I need to sell my scrap car?
Bring the vehicle registration and a piece of government photo ID in the registered owner's name. Pull your plates and cancel the insurance with ICBC before or after pickup. If you cannot find the registration, call us and we will walk you through what ICBC needs.
How fast can you pick up my car?
Same day in most of Surrey when you call before mid-afternoon, and often within a couple of hours. If your street is tight or you need a specific window, tell us on the call and we will book the truck around it.
Do you sell used auto parts?
No. We buy and remove vehicles only. We do not sell parts, we do not do roadside assistance or boosts, and we do not buy vehicles outside British Columbia.
